About the Pleadies.com Site.
Well it was put together so that I could learn how to set up and run Linux. Apache, which this site is running with, is included with Slackware 7, and 7.1 so I decided to learn that as well. Apache is used by more than 50% of the web sites on the internet. Since then, I decided that seeing as I deal with people that have domain names on a day to day basis, I should get a domain to see what they go through. That led me to setting up Bind, which is a DNS server. Still not happy, I then decided to give SendMail a try!!! That one is the most confusing one so far. Anyone that knows a lot about SendMail is a rare one indeed!!! For awhile I was running this site on Solaris 7, and it was working pretty good, but there is not a version of Shoutcast for Solaris and I got fed up with trying to run servers on my Win98 machine. The other thing is that I don't have a SPARC to play with, and I was finding it hard to find as much software for the x86 version (x86 is Intel or AMD based systems) So I have switched back to Slackware Linux 7.1
